Starting something great doesn't have to be all glorious and catchy. Learning to move all the way to the top is as important as the goal you want to achieve. distractions will always be there to keep you in check BUT, let them not decide your goal.
I promised myself to write an article per week. In reality even the idea of writing fell of. I have achieved something that led me away from my passion and interest in learning and developing myself. If I fail to write, I wonder what I would be learning. The challenge of writing means I must consistently write. Either writing codes or observation, they all need one to consistently be studying something.
I have been asked to teach [a friend of a friend] the basics of web development in four hours. In four hours, this friend must have confidence to develop websites for himself. First thing that came to mind, what will be the curriculum? I realised that web development is not that difficult. Continuous learning is the rule of the game. This has led me to go back to the basics [by the way, I had already started before this offer].
This time, I don't plan an article every week but atleast a minimum of two articles per month. I will have to take it from a level that will motivate me to push.
AngularJS2 is on the way and I have not yet mastered Angular1.x. jQuery3 is the latest kid on the block and guess what? I have not yest mastered jQuery2.x. So, you can see that I have a lot of work to do. i can only defeat this demon of procrastinating by doing something that motivates me to be a better person like, Python, Linux, Nginx, and everything that says Computer Tech
In the mean time, let me get back to study and finish my AngularJS @ www.codecademy.com
Till next time
